There is a fine line between under-styled (looking like a casual snapshot) and over-styled (looking like a stock photo). The best professional headshots for women land in the space where you look unmistakably like yourself — but at your most confident and polished.
"I never look good in photos." The photos you look bad in are taken without preparation, bad light, and no direction. A professionally directed shoot under controlled studio lighting is a completely different experience.
"I'm not sure what to wear." We send a comprehensive styling guide with every booking. For professional headshots, the rule is simple: what you would wear to a client meeting or important presentation.
"I'm worried it will look stiff and corporate." Good direction prevents this. You will be talking, moving slightly, and responding to direction throughout. Wooden poses happen when a photographer clicks and leaves you to it. That is not how we work.

For professional headshots, natural makeup that you apply yourself is often sufficient. If you want a full professional makeup application, we can recommend makeup artists who specialise in headshot prep. This should be arranged separately and in advance.
Solid colours photograph better than patterns. Navy, grey, white, and soft tones all work well. Avoid busy prints, large logos, or very bright colours that pull attention away from your face. Bring 2–3 options — we will discuss on the day.
Yes. Our retouching philosophy is to present you at your best without creating an artificial or over-processed result. We retouch distracting blemishes, adjust exposure and colour, and ensure the image is crisp — but we do not dramatically alter your appearance.
Yes. All files are delivered at full resolution, suitable for digital use, print, and press. You own the files outright.
The studio is private, quiet, and relaxed. There are no other clients present during your session. Many clients who are nervous before arriving comment on how quickly they settled.
